$400 for a seven year old washer and unknown mileage? I'd pass. Or make lower offer in the $200-250 range, IF in excellent condition |

I had the opportunity a month or so ago to purchase a used Speed Queen, 2017 model, for $300. Looking back I feel like I should have jumped at the chance instead of over-thinking the purchase. The washer ended up going to someone else and I bought a used Whirlpool direct drive instead. I'm not sure why I was so hesitant, but something told me to wait. Too good to be true, I felt. Silly? Maybe. But I have the DD now and am happy with it, so it worked out.

Is an excellent buy if it’s in good shape it doesn’t look like it’s been used extremely heavily.
If energy costs are important to you in the long run you should try to get yourself a Speed Queen frontload washer they’re amazing washers you can pack them full they do a much larger load and they do a great job definitely save you a lot of work drying the clothing and energy as well. Speed Queen has been proven the most reliable brand of washing machine sold in the United States for over a decade now. John L |
