Of course there was an agitator washer - OK I only watched the video once! The film certainly gave a truth to the expression "better than having to beat the clothes on a rock!"
Going back to that agitator machine, i think the wringer was made by Acme - it looks identical to to the one on my Vactric wringer washer |

Those sinks with the cutout seem to be a uniquely Norwegian conceit. I've never seen them elsewhere. They also had weird appliance brands, like ITT refrigerators. |
