I've always loved the way Jason (JasonL) has put his washer videos to music, so I always wanted to try doing something like this myself.

Here is my music video I named "The Washers We Love and More". I think you guys and gals will enjoy some of the new washer action shots...

Starting out the day right!!

Robert:

What a fab video!! The montage of washers and those glimpses of small appliances and electronics was awesome! I watched the entire thing with a smile on my face! You got my morning started right!

Thank you for putting together such a fun clip! You know you're going to have to crank out a few more of these...hmmmm...perhaps a seasonal theme.....

Robert - what a beautiful movie. I just loved the way you set up the timers - brilliant! What a way to put everything together: the washers, the smalls, the vintage tvs (color and b/w), and the vintage films.

I was expecting just another 10 hour day at the office - thanks for making it much brighter.

My big shock was your opening with the Norge - just this weekend I was visiting my cousins and we were looking at old pictures and in one of the shots, there was Aunt Jennie's Norge. Must be fate.......

YAY!!! Thanks for putting a Franklin-driven machine (your Wizard, I presume) in the awesome video. I once was a Franklin-hater, but I've been reformed. They aren't as jazzy as an old Kelvinator/ABC and not as unique as a GM-era Frigidaire, but they are cool in their own right. I'm so glad I bought one.

It was cool to see so many different machines in action. Great job, Robert!

As if all this isn't enough...

I wish everything on 'the tube' was this good. Great choice of music, incredible short-clip riffs, best washer collection (dare I say?) in the world. It also answered a years-old question of mine - what kind of washer DID Lucy sell to Ethel? Now I know. One of my favorite episodes, as it may be for a lot of us.

Being an audiophile with a Linn turntable and several hundred LPs, I did cringe a little when the Zenith's tone arm STRUCK the record, though :=)

Thanks! It's a classic.

how about an extended-length disco version?
When I've had a drink (or two) in a video bar I sometimes imagine what would happen if a video like this came on the screens! It would be simply fabulous

As for the 1952 Lucy episode "Never Do Business With Friends", we had a good thread about it back a couple of years ago, I'll post the link back to it for those who might not have seen it...

(Had the song stuck in my head all day, though...)

Now THAT is a music video! Very well done.

What's the machine right after the Maytag Neptune Toploader?

Jason that's the Easy Sprialator!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Bendix Rubber Tub, where the clothes are pasted to the agitator after the "extract period". It's like a washer in an alternate reverse universe.

"Love is All Around" - I think that's the Troggs version, also done by Wet, Wet, Wet etc....

Robert, your video is fantastic. And I love how the rhythm of the music, for the most part, is in sinc with many of the washers.

I'd love to have a square Bendix front load like the one you showed running. And I remember using the Bendix Economat with the rubber tub. Since there was no spin, it certainly did not have to be bolted to the floor. I knew of only one (the same model you showed) that worked. Interesting idea, but there just was no way to keep the lid sealed so that the pump could suck in the sides of the tub.

Great work. Thanks for sharing.

Great video, Robert, and I loved the music too.

Can't really add much to the superlatives already proferred, other than to second and third them!

May I suggest a re-release around Valentine's Day?
