Hi everyone, I just got a KUDI21DS3 and I would like to go through it before commissioning it for daily use for a family of 4 (#5 on the way). It was being used regularly up until a few days ago when I picked it up from a local couple.

If anyone on here is a technician in Litchfield County CT and is interested in restoring this unit for me, that would be great. Otherwise, I will attempt it myself.

Could you all be so kind as to provide a list of the components that should be replaced, or at least "stocked" by me? From my time on this site I see that the main gasket at the bottom of the tub should be done, and my lower wash arm is stuck to the support, so I will likely have to break it apart. There is a new in box wash arm on fleabay, but no support, so I'm interested in one of those so far. I would like to buy NOS parts because my intent is to use the heck out of this machine for as long as possible, or until the government realizes that water is the earth's most abundant resource and allows manufacturers to produce dishwashers that wash dishes (I won't hold my breath). Kidding aside, we are doing a retro kitchen and really love the look and reputation of these machines. Is the service manual (sold on this site) worth having, or is it all common sense?

It sounds like you’re going to need a wash arm support and wash arm the washroom supports are kind of hard to find but one will probably show up.

Other than that install it and put it to use I would not do anything else preemptively unless you notice signs of problems.

And you can start sleeping at night the government is never gonna take your dishwasher away You can use all the water and energy like for the rest of your life, I hope your children will except the decisions you’re making however they might be some kick back as they get older.lol

I appreciate the reply, Mr. Lefever. Am I to understand that you don't even recommend replacing the gasket on the bottom of the tub preemptively?

I noticed you posted in another thread that you have parts that you sell. If you have one of the supports, I'd pay handsomely for it.

My government remark was inspired by a comment in another thread on this site. I thought I'd pile on, that's all. All in good fun.

Old part# for the wash arm support is 4163521, new part# is 4163370. Save the search for both of these in Ebay and one of them should eventually pop up.

Thanks for the reply, Dan. I have ordered the wash arm, and will continue to pursue the support. I am hoping someone on this forum will sell me one so I don't have to wait.

My neighbor has a machine shop, so I might take the support over to him and see if we can't make something like a repair kit. The assembly is in tact, but the very tips of the lower nylon piece have broken off as they seem to do.

I tried to remove the fine screen filter by removing the many screws holding it, but I was unable to pry it off. I'm not sure it's meant to be able to be serviced. Has anyone been able to successfully remove theirs?

The screen can be removed, but it was not available separately, but we sometimes found WASs where just the screen was bad and we swapped things around to save the WAS.

Thank you John, I appreciate it. I've got my fingers crossed.

Regarding the screen, there's a nipple at the 1 o'clock position which seems to be holding the screen once all the screws are removed. It isn't obvious to me how that might be removed. Also, it is very tight on the center portion. Do you recall any specifics related to removing the screen?
