Hey guys, if anyone wants this Dryer, they can have it for free, it has its rust spots, i don't know if it runs, looks like it has some good parts on it. I'd rather try and see if someone wants it than just have it scrapped immediately. I'm not sure how long it will be here since its at my workplace, waiting for the next scrap run. If anyone is interested in picking it up please let me know ! It's located in the Central New Jersey area.

I believe that's a DA-820W from 1962.

Ryan,

Hard to tell from the pictures, is the pedal (to open the door) still there?  Are the instructions still on the inside of the door?

Hey Lawrence,

Yes the door pedal is there, it still works ! And the instructions on the door are worn out.

Same vintage as our first GE dryer...

...but the next model up towards the TOL.

I"d like to purchase a part of this dryer. Would you be interested/willing to remove the Control panel (with the wiring and the pedestals) and mailing it to me? I would pay for the parts plus mailing/handling expenses.

I can absolutely do that, just to confirm by pedestals you mean the two posts holding the panel correct? Also, I've never taken this type of dryer apart, does it open like a chest like modern ones?

Great!

Please let me know what I can pay and send me an address. I'm in no rush for this so you can wait for the check to clear, if that's OK.

You can email me at kjayvazian@comcast.net or you can use the AW member message.

Awesome, I will send you an email in the next day or two. For now it sits safe in my house. I will be in touch.
