I read it, there are ways about some kinds of paywalls. It's the usual cold water promotion, with a some additions such as also being anti-machine drying on point of both energy usage and causing deterioration of clothing and spewing lint (both natural fibers and synthetic fiber pollution) into the environment. |

I did two loads tonight Cold weather indoor garments washed with a "warm" water temperature of that started out at 96 degrees F and cooled down to 89 degrees F by the end of the wash. Kitchen hand towels that started out at 116 degrees F and ended up at 138 degrees F by the end of the wash phaase. Sunday I did a huge load of towels that when the wash phase finished, the temmperature was 148 degrees F. Flannel sheets wasshed at 92 degrees F.

Excuse me, I only reserve cold washing for dark colors or delicates. I don't have any delicates so I will leave cold washing to my dark sturdy cottons. |

It’s not really worth paying for a falsely written article about people who have done “studies” about pollution from clothes washing and drying.
QSD-DAN in reply #48 has more useful information than that bogus article. I am sure once I get the customized Maytag dryer all together along with the matching A806 washer, my clothes will last a LONG time since I will have the ability to do a gentle wash with fast spin for lightly soiled laundry and a dryer that only has a low heat selection available.
