I spotted this GE Americana Versatronic, in lovely avocado, sitting on a trade in pile at the local retailer. Almost mint condition, I would bet it still worked. No, didn't bring 'er home.

 They are still out there.

I have made a deal with the store where this is, now am trying to find the best way to get it to Maryland.

If anyone is coming this way will pay up to $1000, to get it here.

Will keep everyone posted, thanks again Kenny for posting this.

That one is electric, the broiler is in the oven. Looks like the microwave parts are located below.

Kenny,

Yes, the microwave "guts" took the place of what would ordinarily be a storage drawer (on an electric range).

@John,

I have a guy that I have had deliver appliances for me. He will pallet, cushion wrap, and plastic wrap over. He typically will stack deliveries and I have something I’d like to come from around that area. Perhaps we could make something work? If you’re interested email me? jilianlv@yahoo.com.

GE Versatronic Range

It got picked up yesterday and will be delivered to Eugenes shop in Cleveland Ohio today.

I will provide pictures etc. after it makes it way back to Maryland in the next few weeks.

Eugene and I are regularly swapping appliances so it’s easy to make a run from there to our shop.

GE Versatronic Range

Made it safely to Eugene shop in Cleveland today

The shipper was excellent that I got through you ship. I’ll try to get his information and post it.

There were problems with getting this range from the get-go when I called up the furniture place that had it I tried to buy it from them. They said they didn’t want any money for it. I could have it which I was uncomfortable with because it was just sitting outside and I wasn’t sure if it would be there when either I got there or a shipper got there.

I sent the company a nice Christmas gift and $200 check and they got the Christmas candy and we confirmed that the range was still there for us but when the shipper got there they wouldn’t let him have it they claimed they sold it to somebody else for far more than $200 even though it was still sitting outside the oven handle, was now missing in one of the knobs And the people in the service department said he could not take it.

Luckily, the owner of the business decided to let him have the range because he had come so far to get it so I’m not sure what’s going on but we got the range and the shipper was able to negotiate with the people there .

What a fiasco. I don’t know why it is so hard for folks to do what they tell you they will do these days. I’m glad you were able to get the range despite the hassle.

Glad it worked out, John. I can't believe it sat in the parking lots all these months.
