Man, I'd love to go grab this. Sadly Chicago isn't in the cards at the moment.
The panel arrangement matches the 1973 LA535PX. |

I think that Westinghouse washer could be about a 1968 model, possibly with a black Bakelite or plastic agitator, that would make it rather rare.
This machine shown below I believe is a 1969 model...

Neat and now very rare washer, it will be neat to see if it works or can be fixed easily.
Some of these early WH TL washers even did a neutral drain if it has the " pre-pump " solenoid next to the motor, the solenoid would engage and loosen the drive belt so it would barely spin as the water would pump out.
I think some early WH TL machines also had a clutch on the motor so they were not so hard on belts, but later both these parts were eliminated and they just let the belt take the strain as the machine pumped out and got up to speed.

Woah, I didn’t realize just what I could be buying here! I don’t want to say it’s “official” yet since I haven’t gone to pick it up, But the money has been sent and a meeting date has been arranged so it’s almost more than certain that the machines are going to be coming home with me! The reason he claimed it probably out didn’t work is because they were his aunts machines, and sat in her basement for close to thirty or fourty years. There’s a good chance these machines are very lightly used then! Will have to keep everyone updated on the machines when they are back home in the garage.
