Re: Jan 6

Hey! Club Friend's, didn't someone in the Club have the similar huge Cabinet Kenmore Washer/Dryer Combo? They had mentioned that they were going to attempt to sell it. If anyone remember's who it was, or if the person that owned it, still has any Photo's of it, I would really appreciate either having it Posted or send me a copy of the Photo. My E-Mail Address is:

I believe that at least the Kenmore Model was Manufactured around 1958. If anyone knows the Manufacture date of the "POD" WP/Combo, I would appreciate a reminder of that as well.

Peace and Happiness, Steve

I downloaded and watched the videos of this machine in action. The spin looks really slow, or does it just look that way?

It's about 250 rpm.

This combo was released in 1957. I think it was 1959 or 60 when WP redesigned the combo from the ground up in a 29" cabinet. The Kenmore version of this 57 was very similar in size, but the controls were set back a bit on the top of the cabinet in a shape similar to the Lady Kenmore washer panel in Robert's collection.

We saw one of these 57 KM combos at a sale in Minneapolis a few years ago but it was in a basement and nearly impossible to pull up and out without injury to ourselves or the appliance.
