The hood above the range is made by FABER. The hood is engineered in Italy. Great hood too of course vented outside. Easily to clean, stainless steel filters that go into the dishwasher. Three speed and light and hidden controls. CLICK HERE TO GO TO rayjay's LINK |

Hello Chris. The oven does not have an air fryer, but it has convection bake and roast, bread proof, speed broil, broil, speed roast, warm, remote start, easy clean, self clean. I will probably doing some baking today, so I will let you know how that turns out. |

Thanks for the link to Faber. Our hood too is a Faber. Seventeen years old and very pleased.
I should buy new filters, so your link is a good reminder.

Great news. When I saw the follow up I was thinking oh no. Still no issues with our GE either. BTW reading back.. You can do air frying in yours, just get a wire mesh basket and use convection. That's what I always did before hubby got hooked on his counter top air fryers (which is no faster than using the big oven) but might save on some power.

Hi Petek. Thanks for the advise on the air fryer. Do you put a pan under the rack of the air fryer? I also have a Breville smart oven which has an air fryer setting. It does a nice job. However, I tried making fresh cut french fries and they did not come out good. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ray |

I guess it depends on the amount of fries you need. For me I get all I need from my compact air fryer, frozen to plate in 9 minutes including pre heat. It would take that long for my oven to come up to temp - if not longer. |

Hi Ray,
I cut the potatoes and do a couple of rinses in cold water and then I let them soak for about 30 min. I then drain them and pat dry. I use about a tsp. or so of olive oil just to lightly coat the potato slices, sprinkle a wee bit of salt and put them in the air fryer. After about 8 minutes I shake the fries and air fry for another 8 minutes or so until cooked to how I like them. I do use a french fry cutter to cut the potatoes so as so make all the pieces a consistent size. Gary |
