I’ve been intrigued by calypso washers lately, I would love to get my hands on one of them. I keep looking on Craigslist and fb marketplace but haven’t found any. If you see one, let me know! |

Are getting pretty rare I do still occasionally see them on the trash pile.
My goal is to never be without one of these machines. It’s one of the best cleaning machines I’ve ever had for small items that are extremely dirty. I’ve stashed a couple of them in good condition in the warehouse, if you want to make a trip to Maryland, I can probably find you a good used one and there’s lots of parts around for them. I know of one in Illinois that may be going up for grabs soon or for sale. I should say. If I hear that it’s become available I’ll try to post it. John. |

Most of those early HE machines are rare as hen’s teeth since parts have been NLA for quite some time. Reason why Whirlpool stopped making parts for them is they didn’t make too many and whatever parts stock there was has mostly been used all up. Crazy as this sounds, sometimes it’s easier to find certain parts for older machines since Whirlpool knew that someone would have a BD or DD many years down the road. Whirlpool made parts for the BD washers till sometime in the very early 2000’s if I am not mistaken.
