Came across this on FB Marketplace. I have never seen seen this version of the Jenn-Air dishwasher. Is it me, or is this a prime contender for one of the ugliest dishwashers? lol

That's not a Kitchenaid platform dishwasher. It's a Maytag standard tub product of the times. could be of the Jetclean series. |

One appliance store had this model in stock for years after it was manufactured. Inside it’s a Maytag jet clean but outside is all it’s own “style” I think the maytags were a lot more popular. |

The inside is like the Maytag I have. It does not have a very flexible loading pattern. I would say the outside has Edsal lines. I wonder if spills run into the controls. |

This is a re-badged Maytag reversed rack sold as a Jenn Aire dishwasher. These came out right after Maytag bought up Jenn Aire. |

Those are not reverse racks. That is the style that came out after the Reverse Rack machines. |

It doesn’t look quite as bad in black, but you can see why it didn’t sell. Somebody didn’t bother to do any market research on this ugly design.
Maytag had a lot of trouble with this design with the stainless steel tank. The metal was so sharp that it would cut through the wiring harness in the door hinge area, it will often short out and blow a fuse but at least it didn’t start a fire like the plastic tub models, so there was no recall on the stainless steel models.
The only real hazard was if the dishwasher was not grounded you might get electrocuted.
These were fairly good Dishwashers didn’t hold a whole lot and had washability problems in the upper rack because of no decent spray for the upper rack from below but were fairly rugged.
