It's been a number of decades, but IIRC the Coffeemaster that my parents had (likely a 1949 model) had a High and Low switch. After brewing, it clicked over to the Low setting automatically, which kept the brew warm.
The Sunbeam failed in the mid to late '60s. I'll always remember the weird smell of overheated metal. It was replaced by a Corningware Electromatic percolator. |

Sometimes when the thermostat for the low setting isn’t set correctly you can even boil water on the low/warm setting. I’ve owned 4 different C30’s in the past and they all kept the coffee very hot on the low setting and also worked just fine to reheat cold leftover coffee too. I would imagine that the C50’s work the same way too as you have discovered.
