Rare, but I think there's one on ebay, will check later. My Great Aunt Mary had one, and when she passed, I was lucky enough to inherit it, not that there were many takers! It followed us to Cleveland for our junior year in college where four friends and I were so lucky to have it in the basement of our off-campus dwelling. It has the identical powerful agitator with the three metal fins extending beyond the base plate that we see in the early GE automatics. A strong pump and fast wringer, these old beasts were built to fight and win many washday wars which once included, bashing the feces out of babies' diapers, LOL!
Hope you find one, and again many thanks for your recent alert about what might be the first model of the Visimatic discovered in Pennsylvania. I'll know soon. It cost me two bucks on HiBid. Unbelievable. |
