I found this site quite by accident a few moths ago. i am so glad i did.. i honestly thought that i was the onlt one that had this "fixation" on old washers. boy, did i realize i was wrong.. i just figured out how to join in.. and im so glad.. every morning,, before the newspaper, and my first cup of coffee, i pull up the site. look at the pic of the day, and read through the postings..
Thank you all so much.. you do not know what it has meant to me..Youre all the BEST!!!

Imagine life before the internet without this groups'
laundrophile imput and advice. I think that classic appliances, and classic cars are worth preserving from an historic and an eviromental aspect. The USA represents 5 % of the worlds population, but we consume 33% of the worlds natural resoruses. Sites that promote to reclaim, repair or put back into use appliances, old cars, and great furniture save them from being crushed, and cut back on manufacturing new ones that takes more energy and causes pollution. If people would only hang on to classics...and get rid of the WalMart mentality that new and cheap is good.
