It appears to be a combo with condensing dryer. For the price ($1394.10), it sounds like a bargain! The owner’s manual (found on the page linked below) seems incomplete and has hardly any info in it.

Checkrate/Likes Visiting a Lowe's today, there is a Whirlpool frontload washer with a TIMED DRY button. I don't know the model number. I didn't take a photo. I asked the sales girlie, she said it's a dryer. Nope, it's a washer, see here, the detergent and softener dispenser drawer and the Drain & Spin button, a dryer would not have a Drain & Spin function. She, confused, went to check documentation somewhere, probably at Lowe's website, came back and said there's nothing about a Timed Dry button. The matching dryer was sitting atop it, also with a Timed Dry button in the same position on the button array. Did I find a factory production line foul-up, the wrong button overlay on it?

Checkrate/Likes Only a guess but aren't there now washer/dryers that connect to each other so after a wash cycle and depending on what cycle you used, it would automatically set up the dryer cycle. Maybe the "timed dry" button is to negate that so you can set the dry cycle yourself?

Checkrate/Likes Bob, I don't think it's a combo, the price didn't register to my attention as high enough unless it's mis-labeled. The Timed Dry selection is on the bottom of the array of center black buttons, I believe in the same position as on the dryer stacked atop of it. There may be an opportunity to get photos in about 3 weeks.

Checkrate/Likes I had intended to get photos today of the mysterious washer with Timed Dry but we went to a different Lowe's ... that didn't have any Whirlpool frontloaders on display. :-(
