I do like my LG Sidekick for what it is.....
Which was mainly the function of a pedestal (got it for a hot deal).
And been using it for the grungy stage (chore dirty clothes, after washing the car and all the towels and such)
Temps - I've just been filling a bucket with hot water from the laundry sink, and do about 2-4 pours till the sidekick is about 3/4 full with hot water from the tap...

Anyhow, this is more a utilitarian washer for me so I might just take the H/C on the unit and bridge it into HOT water feed only.

Calling all sidekick owners. Do you like, love or hate it.

The only annoyance is keeping the drawer pulled out. It's like a Front Loader....and just due to the sidekick pulled out, it is an object (that one must be mindful of) if waling by. I've tried shipping the door and just closing it halfway so that the door is just a crack open for air.

I don't understand why you are filling it with buckets from the sink?

Because the SideKick fills at BEST with lukewarm water. Said they are filling with buckets of HOT water.

We have a sink in our -finished laundry room - so it's not like I'm fetching water elsewhere.

The bucket is a small 15qt bucket.....it's easy. Run faucet, bucket fills, just pour in the sidekick.....
It's not -alot of extra work-
With that said, one day I will get around to bridging the inlets

Not sure why the wash cycles let so little hot in

If I do a CLEAN cycle in the washer, without any (intervention like adding hot water from a bucket), but just letting the machine do its thing with the H/C inlet feeds as hooked up, that water is HOT

But normal cycle, it's medium tepid at best
