Issue with shipping powdered detergents is going to be cost.
Since postal service here (USPS) and other shippers such as FedEx, UPS, etc... all use dimensional pricing. Thus heavy packages even when comparatively small are often dear to ship. When one can lay hands on powdered detergents today usually boxes aren't the small "ultra" of old. There are ways around this however. Coin vend sizes of Tide or whatever powdered detergent will fit in smaller shipping boxes. Also there are USPS flat rate boxes where weight isn't an issue. Long as things fit easily into package and it is sealed it's good to go. On that last bit other alternative for powdered detergent is to open and pour contents into a heavy/thick ziplock bag or some sort of small bin liner. Again using USPS Priority Mail flat rate boxes weight won't matter. CLICK HERE TO GO TO Launderess's LINK |

I did some of these exchanges a dozen or more years ago, and as Launderess says, the shipping was brutally expensive. I can’t imagine how bad it would be now.
But in case it’s helpful, Adam, one of my Aussie correspondents said that he could get Tide powder at Costco, I think in Melbourne. So if there’s a Costco near you, it might be your best option. |
