Hey all!

I hope this is allowed: I posted here some time ago wondering about the operation of my SINGER LV2400 from 1983, which turned out to be a FAGOR F-815 re-brand. I made a new account as I couldn't remember any of the original credentials I used for the life of me. Also, I was away from the washer for a good while, so I couldn't ascertain anything about it or verify the information I was given. I'm no longer a complete noob on this, at least I hope so.

Anyway, about the washer, on a very uneventful day I actually sat down in front of it with a timer and thermometer in hand as the suggestions that were given to me re the cycles didn't quite seem to fit. I discovered a bunch of stuff which I can post if anybody thinks it'd be useful (I still can't "name" the cycles except for maybe programme 2 bring Sturdy Fabrics, as it gets unbelievably hot and tore apart a bathmat of mine, but at least I know what the machine is doing for each of them).

There's a cycle I'm yet to figure out though (together with the cold bleach cycle which I can't make sense of, but at least it runs its course) - Programme 12,the last one on the washer, stops at about 5 minutes in. I've even left it there for hours and it simply won't go on unless I manually rotate the dial. It heats up to what I imagine is probably about 45°C, pulls soap and softener from the drawer and just stops (the washer acts as if you'd switched it off) with the drum half-filled, if I recall correctly. Anyone have any idea what this is for?

Thanks in advance,

Evelyn

Ozzie,

The washer has only 12 programmes, but as it draws softener together with soap, it's possible that it's an entire cycle on its own, yeah. I didn't know that existed. How are you supposed to use it?

Thanks!
