The washboard is rewinding too far back? For me just about ANY vintage machine would do over the junk offered today-esp machines that try to wash with a teacup of water.I am paying my water bill-BRING on the water----FILL HER UP!!! |

I would beat my clothes on a rock at the river before I would buy a modern day POS. |

I don't have a specific machine in mind. But, it would most likely be a Whirlpool/Kenmore, top loader, and no newer than 1990s/early 2000s.
Even though I know very little about them, I'm drawn to the Kenmore 80 or 90 series. Preferably, the one with the four option knobs. I also wouldn't rule out a Maytag from around the same time period. |

I can wash anything water-washable with an 806. Versatile, dependable, nice features, large capacity. Other than just for fun, I can't think of anything else I would rather have as my only machines. |

I would love to have my Frigidaire 1-18 and matching Wide-Mouth dryer that I had back in the 70's. The thermostatic automatic drying system was much more accurate than my current LG dryer, and worked with small loads. |
