Hello everyone! As some may recall, I became the owner of a 1969 Maytag A106 in December of 2022. Today I finally got to give it it’s time to shine, and figured i’d make an update as to its condition. The timer operated smoothly, advancing at the correct increments, and the machine came right back to life! I had previously allowed the tub to soak full of hot water, in order to help bring the seals back should they be dry and it did not leak a drop. I found a couple what look like initials or signatures behind the console so I’ve included those as well (pictures 1 and 4), in case anyone would be able to understand if they’re factory markings or someone’s signatures. I intend to upload a video to youtube as well for all to see. It was incredibly amazing watching this machine spring back to life for the first time in 30+ years without any problems.

- Henry

I can not take picture 6 out of my mind. How elegant, how simple, how brilliant. It still gets to me 25 yeas later like I'm seeing the DC for first time. I wish every washer looked like this internally.

That is about as clean as they can come. What a great find and save!

Looks amazing Henry! This machine is truly immaculate for being 54 years old, and I have no doubt it couldn't have gone to a better home than you.
