I’ve had this washer for 2 years now. Washed tons of towels in it and has been a good run. (Probably did 7 loads a week)
I did buy another dispenser but it broke in two washes. I’m not sure if it’s a software thing or if that second dispenser I bought used was already on its last leg.
I figured out how to bypass the dispenser and it worked for two years- I rarely use bleach and fabric softener- so it didn’t really bother me.
The last month the washer has been acting funny- normal wash wouldn’t actually start with a wash- would go directly into rinse. It’s been acting “slow” it gave up when I kept getting a f63 error code on rinses. I even tried to bypass the dispenser in service mode- no Luck.
I couldn’t resist but take this washer apart, man, was it fun and heavy! I got to learn German engineering of how Miele builds their washing machine. Super interesting and pretty well thought out. It sucks that it didn’t last longer.
I took some pictures of the spider and inside. Keep in mind- this washer probably saw cold water washes most of its life. I had the machine in the garage and used a “y” adapter and used hot water wash and rinse. So the inside cleaned up really nice. The spider was pretty corroded. There are a few holes and was starting to give away. A lot of you mentioned spider problems- this was my biggest fear.
Some of you have W4’s and if you want some parts- let me know.
