Hey guys. I am currently using Cascade Platinum Plus. So far, I am having great luck with it. What are the liquid tops in these packs? I'm anxious to try it on a real dirty load in my Kenmore dishwasher. I love the mountain scent.

Might be the ingredients of a catalyst that activates the powder.

Just a guess.

catalyst

I wonder what catalyst it uses. I know it has Dawn in it, but what are the other liquid chambers? Does it have a rinse aid and dishwasher cleaner in it? I'd like to know.

I have been using Cascade Platinum Plus since it came out and I dont find much difference between the Regular Platinum and the voluptuous Cascade Platinum Plus performance wise. Sure they cost much more than the regular Platinum pacs but that said when I ran out of the Plus pacs I went right back to using the regular platinum pacs. There are different flavors of the regular pacs including one with Oxi and one with Dishwasher Cleaner that does an awesome job.
For what they are charging for the Plus pacs ...its not worth it in my opinion.
I have also been using Finish Quantum Hard Water and those pacs do quite well for less money. Finish Quantum Power pacs do well in my dishwasher.

Been using P+ for a few years could not be happier with it.   Just picked up an 82 pack at Sam's -down from 96 count - for $18 on sale. Last years 96 count just ran out, date on the contained was 7/22/22, so not quite a year.  Sam's also had Finish rinse aid for $8, prefer Cascade but thought I'd give it a try at that price.

blueberry pancake test

I think I will do a blueberry pancake test to see how these will do with the batter dried onto the mixing bowls and whisks. I'd like to use the smart wash cycle with turbo clean on my dishwasher which is built by Bosch. I noticed that it sprays at full pressure. What other tests should I try? I don't prerinse, so I think I will see what these packs are made of. I may do lasagna tonight as well but that's on a different reply on this thread. Either way, the dishwasher will be full of very dirty dishes.

cheese enchilada test

I can absolutely do the cheese enchiladas test knowing just how much of a challenge it can be to get all the sauce, tortillas, and stuck-on cheese off of the dishes.

blueberry pancake test

The Cascade Platinum Plus did pass the blueberry pancakes test. Not a trace of food was left behind. I used smart wash with turbo clean and the dishes came out clean.

ran a load

I just ran a load in my dishwasher it had blueberry pancake mix covered bowls and whisks, and an omelette that was stuck on inside the container I serve out of when making my breakfast, along with the blueberry syrup covered pancake plates. They always come out clean, in spite of the sudsing during main wash, which may vary depending on the dirtiness of the load.

I just tried Cascade Platinum Plus and noticed it does not create foam like the regular one. Or is it just me? lol
