Hi all!

How many times did you hear me speaking about the most fascinating washing-machines I saw during my childhood?

One is the 1981's Sangiorgio FL my parents had until the 2001 since they've been married! It's for me as a "second MUM"!

The other one is a TL (EuroTL), my aunt had since she's been married in the 1972 until the 1992 when she bought a Zoppas (always EuroTL)...the IGNIS!

This Ignis is a myth for me... a model which has been staying on market for years! There was a Ignis TL like that still in the 2001 when we went for buying our new Whirlpool TL taking the place of the old Sangiorgio.

The first I think was just in those years...the 60s! Infact the ad a dare friend sent to me was of the 1967! That model was the pushbutton controls, but then there were many other variants of the same concepts, with knobs controls, with chromatures, plastic particulars... IGNIS was the brand and "infinitives" were the variants...

Aunt's one was with the cabinet lid in brown plastic and the knobs control panel on blue!
The most wonderful and beautifull and... (spechless to describe...sorry!), was the outer tub, with a sliding cylindric lid...
And the inner tub flaps were without spings (EU friends will understand what I mean!), they went closed like a hold...as you took the fingers of a hand with the fingers of the other, and then a clip blocked whole!

The last in the 2001 was all WHITE! The slogan was "PIU' GRANDE, PIU' BELLA, PIU' RICHIESTA!" (=BIGGER, NICER, MORE REQUESTED!)
The cabinet became all white painted, the outer tub lid became flat and the inner tub flaps got the springs.

And Castor was either a brand which those type of model was sold with.

Though, cannot a machine like that below be considered a myth if it was on sale from 1972 to 2001?!?!?

Here you are the 1967 ad...on the right the 60cm model I spoke about and on the left the 45cm model variant available.

And the interior!

Here you are though the interior!

Guess what? While I was walking around I was impressed by a very dirty window of a building... I cleaned it up a bit and what was there indoor?!?!? There was HER! A very old IGNIS seeming like that above I think to be rubbished soon... SHE HAD TO BE MINE!
So as soon as possible I have to contact the properties of that building to say them I'm interesting in that old forgetted machine...

Good BYE

Staber?

Someone could complaine that it seems like a Staber..
Well it could be in the dimensione maybe or in the shaping exterior...

No comparatives! A very reliable machine, very cheap in the consumes to do work, and amazing in the load and unload as I remember those afternoons spent wiht my aunt doing how many laundry with that machine!! :-)))
