Looky what dear ole' Santa brought me for Xmas. It is so close to my "dream machine" which is a 58 Lady Kenmore that it will be absolutely peeerrrfect and a total match to my 58 Cycla Fabric Four Star dryer. I am so jazzed on Xmas day.

The 25 pounder is already in the oven, the pies and tiramisu are done so, company isn't coming until around 2 soooooo I've got time to go out and play with it and start it up. More pix and updates to follow.

Thank you Darrel for parting with it.

And to all a very Merry Xmas.

Dick S.

My goodness this is wonderful! Enjoy! Sounds like you will have a nice dinner too!

Someday I will have to come out there and see you, and all these nice machines.

The inside part of your laundry room has the exact same floor as my kitchen and bath! LOL

Geez, what a great Christmas present. Love that 'console-within-a-console' look of the '58s. Enjoy your dinner and your washer!

Nothing like a little Vintage with a big red bow. Merry Christmas, and thanks for sharing your photo's with us.

Thanks to all........

...for your nice comments. Yes, this is the one I've been waiting to get into my collection for many years. I have extremely vivid memories of watching my aunt pour bleach and lots of Tide into her white 58 Lady Kenmore and then watching the suds during the wash cycle roll out from under the front of the machine onto the kitchen floor. You talk about suds lock!

With Xmas company and a big dinner to put on, I haven't had time to do very much but I do know that the flourescent light in the console panel is out and I am at a loss as to how to get to it. If anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know.

And Brian-thanks for your nice wishes and I just might be writing you for advice when I get around to the old dryer. I'm going to mate it with the bolt down for the present time. I think that might have been befitting for that time period.

Scott-your are most welcome to come out and visit and see my Kenmores hard at work washing the desert dust out of my 50l's.

Robert-Yes and by all means when I'm moving the 58 into the washroom I will take a pic of the pair side by side. Can't wait to WASH and DRY my first load in them!

Jetcone-Yes, it does have the big fat roto in it and a great tub light. I will post the virgin load and I just hope it's soon.

And to Steve, Rick, Ross, Greg, Mickeyd, frigulus and others who posted a nice comment-thank you.

Oh and Kelly, I have tried to get ahold of you with no luck.

I will post an update as soon as she's up and running.

And a great New Year to all! and BTW, dinner turned out super.

Dick S.

Wow Dick, what a happy christmas for you. I knew these were coming of course but hadn't seen them and didn't know when. That is a very handsome washer and will look great in your laundry room.

Darrel, Thanks for parting with them. You are a real sweetheart (if you don't mind being called that!)

Happy Holidays to you all.

Patrick
