Question directed at John/Combo52.

KA topfreezer KTRP20MDWH00.  Is there a trick to get the control panel housing detached from the air damper arm for changing the def timer?  It's ornery about rotating enough either CW or CCW for the crosspin to align with the slot, although that was with the wires attached.  Disconnecting the wires may help but the air damper still will be an impediment.  Does the crosspin press in to the slider knob and is removable from it (without breaking/cracking)?

Hi Glenn, you normally can flex that whole housing assembly around and also move the plastic damper control in the opposite direction and detach that fairly easily without breaking it, we do that fairly frequently never had a problem with it.
