I'm not having any luck finding any information about this vacuum. I picked it up on Ebay. I'm not getting any response over on Vacuumland, so I thought I might see if I have any luck here.

I just love the styling and colour of this vacuum, it hardly looks used! However, I can't find any reference to it online anywhere. I'm wondering if it's rebadge of another company?

I do like using my vintage "toys", but I'm hesitant to use it because there is only the one bag that was included. I would use it sometimes for sure if I had a source for bags. There is no number or code on the bag anywhere. I've tried an image search of the bag, but no luck.

I'm hoping someone recognizes it and can tell my anything about it, or maybe even knows a source for bags?

Guy

This is a rebadged Moulinex vaccuum from the 70's. I don't have much more than that other than on Ebay there is a rotating ad for the Moulinex version of this in Italian. Who here reads Italian? Here's the ad. Greg

Says Bosch..

..On spec tag of linked pics of vac. Also the FD 329 may be a date code and if bosch appliances use similar date code to their auto parts, that is a 1973 vac and colors and style about from that era :)

for some input guys...I'm not convinced that it may be a rebranded Moulinex, other than the orange colour.

The handle bale is quite different, and the bag system is quite different as well. On the Bosch, the motor is located quite separate.

Usually things made in Germany during time period in question would say either 'Made In West Germany" or "Made in GDR" for East Germany.

This sweeper just says "Germany" from what see without any mention of "Made in" at all.

Moulinex did manufacture vacuum cleaners in 1970's and orange was one of their signature colours.

I'd try reaching out to vacuum cleaner dealers or service places in Quebec or maybe your neck of woods. Someone around long enough likely would know about this sweeper.

It looks rather sumilar to an AEG model that I have, see the attached pictures in the AEG has a motor as part of the handle assembly. From memory I have been able to adapt a standard Hoover bag to fit my AEG, I am afraid you may have to get creative to get new bags for your Bosch. The design of these cleaners makes the "foot print" of these cleaners rather large and, in my experience, rather clumsy so not very easy to use in more compact homes. Great find of something very rare though.

Your TV looks great too, B&O?

AEG sure looks similar.. it certainly seems there was a moment when companies tried this design "on for size".

I think I will open it up and see if it gives any more clues when I look at it's guts...

Allistair, you've got a good eye! Yes that's my vintage 80's Beovision 3502 I got a couple of years ago. It still works (not perfect) and I am having so much trouble finding someone willing to restore the electronics.

looked at some of my Bosch...

...and the "FD 329 IS date code: 29th week of 1973. 1983 would be same date code, but style is 1973 :) Polyester era.
