I wonder if something like a pot pie requires a side dish or is it a complete meal if I only eat that?

Bought yesterday so would like for tonight’s dinner, with maybe if needed, an accompaniment…

For me it's got to be mashed potatoes and peas!

I’d suggest a nice fresh green salad and maybe a dinner roll.

A chicken pot pie is a one pot meal.

Poultry, veggies, and starch, it's all in there.

Well, it looks like a salad was chosen… Premade and I don’t think I’ve eaten anything that was even that in a long time!

The inside of the pie wasn’t too presentable, so the chosen salad out of two I’d bought is featured in most of the pics…

The kale I’d like to perhaps accompany with some bacon…

Also there was no time to guide me on how long it took to bake, only be an internal temperature of 165-degrees…

And my meat thermometer should never gone in the oven even though only for the last couple minutes because it now doesn’t work anymore—unless I only need to replace its battery…

So despite it being not cold rather than truly warm which was the same with the couple biscuits leftover from breakfast of which microwaving them made them hot to melt the butter…

In summary, thank you all for your input and suggestions of what given that all that made me full, was ultimately a one course meal…

A little late here, but some broccoli florets or spinach sautéed with a little fresh garlic and olive oil. Frozen broccoli or cut leaf spinach works very well - I often use those in place of fresh. Always good to keep a few bags in the freezer for when I am just not up to washing, chopping and peeling broccoli stalks.. or for a quick dinner when I am not sure what to eat. You can also turn those vegetables into a complete meal. Mix some of those vegetables with cooked fusilli, ziti or rigatoni pasta, add a pat of butter, some fresh ground pepper and some pecorino or parmeggiano reggiano and there you are...
