Someone save this beauty.

Would if possible as is remotely in our neck of woods but have been firmly warned off acquiring more large appliances vintage or otherwise.

Geez... it figures that something like this turns up in my Canadian 'strike zone' the year I'm wintering in Australia... Hope someone else can save it!

Also, apparently there was actually one of these in Australia, as I remember that there is an antique store in Bungendore that has the drum for one of these machines

IIRC these washers spun at about 400 rpms. In comparison best extraction wringers of any sort can manage is equal to between 200 and about 220 rpms. Either way one is looking at pretty wet laundry compared to even top loading automatics of old.

Don't believe any of the early twin tub spinners did much better than Easy machine in OP. Easy SpinDrier washers by 1950's or so were far better at extraction with 900 rpm speed.

Beauty of Easy washer in OP along with early twin tub machines was getting shot of the dreaded wringer (mangle).

Even early as 1920's or 1930's consumer groups, medical professionals and others had launched a hate against wringers/mangles due to number of women and children injured each year by the things. Hand wringers were bad enough but once motors were fitted onto washers (electric or petrol powered) the new "power wringers" became quite dangerous.
