Will posted this machine in the shopper’s square and I was fortunate enough he allowed me to arrange for it to be shipped to me. I originally thought that I would get it to harvest parts but after cleaning it up a bit I think it’s a keeper. This washer was built the 23rd week of 1975 so I got it in time to celebrate its 50th birthday. From the looks of things it’s been sitting unused for quite some time. I ran a first cycle through it and it actually ran great with a small water leak through the tub seal. The fluorescent light still worked! There was also a coupon for some Wisk detergent.

Model - 110.72490250

Serial - C52303696

Shame it didn't have the white Penta Swirl. That's a nice find and a beautiful machine nonetheless
Congratulations !

Beautiful!

Do you have an up close of the push cards? I love, love the programmed cycle concept based on fabric type.

Mmm, what's going on with the timer?  A 14-min Normal cycle, 8-min presumably Knits-Delicate cycle with a cool down, and a 10-min presumably Perm Press cycle *without* a labeled cool down?

Or 8-mins is Perm Press, 10-mins is Knits-Delicate?

Very nice! Never saw a Lady Kenmore with the straight vane agitator before. Thanks for sharing pics!

Looks rather handsome in coppertone. Nice save!

This is a great save, Melvin! The coppertone hues on the models are really quite stunning in person.

Hi Glenn, the permanent press cycle is indeed 8 minutes with the cool down and the knit delicate cycle is the 10 minute cycle.

I don’t believe the agitator is original but I prefer the penta vane anyway and the extension on top for a fabric softener dispenser really makes it neat in my opinion. The gearcase still has an adjustable stud on the drive gear which I’m pretty sure was done away with for a non adjustable one by the time this machine was built. I’m guessing the gearcase was replaced at some point and maybe the original agitator was destroyed in the process. I like the machine as it is now and with the quiet pack system it runs very smooth with little sound.

These were beautiful machines. I love the color key buttons, the last 1970 through 71 lady Kenmore combos did the same thing.

I have a friend with a pair of these copper tone lady Ken Moore, sitting in his garage he wants to get rid of, I should go pick them up. I just don’t have any more room, but they are pretty.

This one definitely doesn’t have the original agitator or transmission so I suspect it’s had a good bit of use still a nice find.
