I thought these may be of interest. I have added these and some Aqualtis pics to my photo album on here.

Starting with Hoover

Rob - great pics! Can't beat 1990s washers... I particularly loved the stacked sets of Hotpoints and Hoovers - British washer engineering at it's best! Gotta love those Zanussi's too... makes me yearn for the 1990s!

I'm slightly curious as to the Hotpoint electronic washer... I was sure they introduced the Microprofile machines in the late 80s with 1300rpm spin speed... did they run the Microtronic and Microprofile machines simultaneously at all for a period of time?

BTW were there any other brands in this catalogue?

Thanks for uploading the pictures! They're greatly appreciated.

Jon

Very reminisent pics of my childhood we had a stacked set of hotpoints in white with brown trim as they used to call it. Was always abit intimidating when the washer span out of balance and it shook as a whole unit! lol!

Awh they made my day i've been so bored today lol:D

Hi Jon and Darren

Not sure about the Microprofile and electronic machines. I remember when I did work experience in Comet in 1989 I sold a few of the Electronic and Microprofile machines so they must have been sold together. I think the Microprofile machine had a 1400 spin.

I'm glad you like the pics. If I get anymore I will of course post them. Just the other day I got a Curry's WM brochure which I will keep safe for the future.

Rob
