Those control consoles look like something straight out of Star Trek -- or a pie display case at your local Googie restaurant.

Either way, very neat.

Lint filter is ripped though. Have to try and find a new one.

Interior shot. Haven't hooked the dryer up yet, so I don't know if there's a drum light.

I purchased these from Brett Keil in Washington, a member on this website. It was a pleasure doing business with Brett. He was even kind enough to pack and crate these beauties for me for shipping. Thanks Brett !

Congratulations on your 1963 Frigidaires! I had the same set as my first washer and dryer, but mine were white. Bought them used in the 1980's.

Have fun with those!

Uh someone please correct me if I"m wrong, but the back of that dryer sure is reminiscent of the back of WCI dryers to me.

Wow Jim, a great set! I am so glad you were able to rescue this set.
So rare, and IMO the best of the best "Three-Ring" Pulsators, combined with the larger tub.

I know you will really enjoy them! Best wishes!

Are the "toe" "kick" panels painted, or are they ss or
aluminum? Either or, very stylish for "Sturdy" machines!!!

Wow, very cool, Santa sure brought you a great pair! Hopefully since the washer is a later 1-speed model it won't give you any trouble.

I think I have a filter for that dryer in my parts stash that's in good shape, except it's white. Email me (address is in the profile) if you're interested.

Thanks to everyone for the great comments and suggestions on getting a replacement lint filter. You all are a great bunch!

Darrel: the kickplates on both the washer and dryer are seperate pieces and look to be aluminum.

Jimmy: I'll definitely have you over as soon as I get everything set up.

Does anyone know where I could get a replacement pulsator cap?
I'm sure that that item will be very hard to find. Any suggetions would be appreciated.

Thanks------- Jim

Absolutely Deluxe!

Jim, congratulations on your new machines. Being able to photos of see these and the Custom Imperials Rich posted previously makes a great start to my new year too. The 'clamshell' Frigidaires are my all-time faves. I was surpized to see the dryer has automatic control, assumed it would only be on a more expensive model.

Had Brett posted pictures shortly after he got them, or are there two pair of these in the group? It was a few months ago and don't remember who's those were.

Enjoy those babies!
Kelly

RE 63 set

those are the greatest machines and will last a long time.
those are the ones that my mother bought in white in 1963 and we took then from CA to our farm in NJ and they lasted us until 1986 and we left them their.
the washer worked very well. the dryer we had was the filtraitor one. the dryer was very good on wash N ware or pp. it was almost 15 years before we had to have the washer fixed. the dryer never had to be fixed but the lint screen was replaced. you will have fun with it and have the cleanest clothes. just beautiful congradulations.
