SO - I have a Maytag DE 806 dryer (pretty one too - I'll post a picture later) and the little bell inside seems to have a mind of it's own. Instead of dinging when the load is dry, it just pretty much dings at random whenever it feel like it. What's the problem? Does it need to see a bell psychiatrist?

Check for a loose contact on the module. I have had many like this with loose spade connectors at the module, sometimes broken connectors.

Also, make sure that the dryer has a seperate ground wire, from the dryer frame to a cold water pipe,or similar.Very important on electronic control Maytags.
