As reccomended, I have been using "Air-Compressor" oil (NON-detergent) that I have found in both Wal-Mart and the local 'True-Value" hardware store. |

some oil oozed out from up towards the tub when i leaned it forward to replace the belt. Please tell me that that's not an indication of a problem! |

That's normal - keep the machine at a slight angle when you tip it over to work on it and it won't run out. I used a covered 4x4 to lay the machine on. When you have the cross-brace off, it's also best to support the mechanism with something to keep it from sagging - you don't want to damage the rubber mechanism support.
