I am soooo ashamed of myself. I wimped out, opened my wallet W I D E and paid Maytag of St. Louis to repair my 8-year-old Neptune washer. It needed a new rubber boot AND I splurged on a new thermistor/valve assembly. Of course I watched the whole procedure and now I'm sure I could have done it myself with less than six trips to the parts and/or hardware store and a few scraped fingers.

Now that the old girl is no longer flooding my bathroom floor and the thermistor is actually doing more-or-less what it is supposed to do, I was hoping that one of you fine washer-folk could tell me whether or not that thermistor can be calibrated to more accureately deliver the promised 70°F cold and 100°F warm fills?

Many thanks.

Sincerely,

Martin Kaplan
