Pictured though "non-featured" on SF Bay Area Craig'slisting
found last week. Almost didn't go because of the melted
freeway. I'm so glad I did!!

Have not subjected to intense scrutiny.

I don't think it's timed-fill. However, it won't fill on the shorter wash times outside the marked "Fill" section, which provides a way to get less water (for wash anyway, it'll still do a full-fill for rinse) for smaller loads by manually advancing the timer when the desired level is reached.

Almost just like my "frog-eye". Glenn has it right about the fill. Of course, with that neutral-drain, it doesn't really matter how small the load is----it would rarely unbalance anyway.

Great find----and these old things were really aggressive at washing! That straight-vane agitator is a brute!

Great Kenmore

Good luck with the restoration. I am curious as to what year it is. It is a good solid machine.

It's amazing how many of these Whirlpool & Kenmores of this era have survived - congrats on the fun washer.

Very cool find! The lid configuration is unusual...I've never seen one like that on a "frog eye." All of the back opening lids I've ever seen on frog eyes have been the larger variety that open down over the front of the cabinet. This one has the same size lid as a side-opening, but it opens to the back. This must have been the transition model for lids. I would guess this to be about a 1956 model based on that. I think the side-opening lid on frog eye styled models began in 1957. Anyway...blah blah blah...great find, very cool machine. Hope you enjoy it.

Very similar to my recent Frogeye... wish I could make it work. Anyone want to lend a hand in the NYC area? The motor on mine turns but the belt won't move.

Good luck with yours!

Very nice, Darrel

They're indestructable

Love the now gone "medium" setting as well as the "cool" on the $$$ ier models.

Hope you're happy. Nuttin' like a Kenmo.

Check out Brastemps vids from our brother in Brazil. I think your agitator is identical to one of his.

How nice to hear from you again. Did you ever get that old green Easy Wringer going?

Mike
