Me thinks these are the same ones we found on craigslist. The seller decided that they must be worth alot and decided to sell them for much more later. And if that is the case, that means that the washer isn't working in that pair. Still beautiful though!

Someone probably emailed him and told him how valuable they were to certain people.

Laundress i thank your the best! i look forward to to see what you find and detergent advice amoung other topics you keep AW bubbling lol! I hope to see you & chat sometime. These kenmores are great i was telling Dick S i use to wash in this pair when i use to visit my aint. SHE gave me permissin to wash in the machine she was fascenated that i was into washing machines i always use to stair in the machine, and that i knew everything about it, she really supported me unlike otheres how saw it as strange she encaraged me and let me wash my little butt of, she had seven kids i would wash all day that's why im a good launderer today. She thought me alot as well as you laundress i put some more tools in my belt from ya thanks. That was my first vintage washer and that was in 1974 that i washed in. I like the pregnent swirl agitaor, tub light, and the very rare cool temprature setting & wig wag sound. And i would love to have them but to far, i hope someone on the site gets them. That said, what is your dream kenmore or washer you like? cha cha heals i can barley walk in dress shoes lol! Aunt maggies washer was in white not pretty in pank unfortunetly. Best Darren k

The original seller said he'd notify me...

...if he decided to go through with the sale. This is the man who had them on CraigsList. I can't figure out if he decided to sell them on Ebay instead, or if this is a new owner who's auctioning the pair, but I was a little disappointed that he didn't let me know of his intention to sell as he said he would. It's probably for the best, since the dryer is gas and I wouldn't be able to use it, but it would have been nice if the seller had followed through with his promise to let me know when the sale WOULD occur.

Looks like they got a buyer

"One" bid at the $499 price. Ebay handle is darehazit.

Congratulations to darehazit on this rare and beautiful machine. Hope you have fun with it.
