I have a new Kitchen Aid SS dishwasher with the hidden buttons on the top of the door. This machine cleans very well (it should, takes long enough) & as agreed upon in here , it does not dry very well ( no fan). I love my vintage KA's & the look of them but this new one is too modern looking for me. I without question was getting a new KA. I should have looked into this more before purchasing this one. I prefer the look of a more commercial looking machine with the large towel grab bar. This KA has the 1/2 round grab bar. (Way too modern looking for me) QUESTION IS there anything anyone could recomend for a replacement handle. The brackets would have to screw into the same holes as the present handle. I am sure other people out there will make the same mistake as I did in purchasing the best (so they thought) . If some how I could change this handle to something more commercial looking & not so modern looking , I will have to live with machine. I would never get my $$ back out of it. My kitchen is more old commercial looking than modern. Michael PS the best thing in this kitchen is my SS KD11 in the butlers pantry (it washes & drys great, a work horse) this one will only be replaced in time with a Kenmore Roto Rack (when found) which I will add ss panels to the front when built in.

You might be able to find the handle in a cabinet and door hardware specialty company locally. Here is Google's top pick for cabinet hardware - they can even custom make what you want...

Good luck - keep us posted on the dishwashers marching through your kitchen, I've been itching for a change from the WP tall-tub I'm using now.
