That is definetly the Miele I wanted to get! However, the 800 dollar price different made me decide that buttons were ok and I could live with a slightly slower spin! lol

Do they have Mieles here in the United States?

Congratulations

Hi Nicola,
Congratulations on your new top of the line Miele W3985WPS. I bought my W3985WPS in October past and I'm very pleased with it.

Alway remember to switch the machine on before you load the drum to avoid de calibrating the load sensor.

David

Hi Nicola, welcome to the club, and congratulations on your Miele, how do you find the difference in spin speed & drying etc...?? I do like those joggle dials,

Mike

Congratulations Nicola! I am glad that you are able to have the washer of your dreams. Mieles are the apotheosis of washers in my opinion and I hope that yours brings you happiness and great laundering for many years. I see one water faucet. Does the machine only fill with cold water? Mieles sold here fill with both hot and cold, but can be programmed for cold fill only. Saturday night I saved the final cold rinse water in a pail and used a pitcher to pour it back to start a load of shirts. While I wanted to wash them at 120F, I had brushed up against the leaves of my banana plants several times during the week and wanted to let the enzymes start out in cool water to work on any invisible deposits of the juice that might be on the fabrics. If the juice from the edges of the leaves is not thoroughly washed away, the heat of the dryer will turn the residue of the juice into very bad brown stains. I learned this the hard way.
What detergent do you use? Are enzyme or biological detergent formulas popular in your area?
Thanks for sharing the pictures of your new treasure. Tom
