We have a 4 yr old LG washer, model WM2032HW, that I love and has performed flawlessly. About 60 days ago, I noticed the water level seemed extra-low... so I checked it by simultaneously pressing the "spin speed" and "soil level" buttons.

A normal wash water level should read "239" and a normal rinse should be "235." (Learned these codes from a posting on the Garden Web forum). My water level in the rinse was 238.... below normal.

I dumped about 2qt of water into through the dispenser to bring the level up to a 235 reading.

Another recent problem is that the 'water shower' from the vanes in the tub is now reduced to a trickle at the rear of the tub and a dribble down the glass in front.

I am wondering if a couple errant tissues that have made it into the laundry recently have somehow plugged or partially plugged the recirculating pump and also affected the pressure switch whic controls the water level?

Calling the Fry's Electonics where we bought it (still under extended warranty) resulted in a visit from their contracted repair service who didn't even know how to get the water level code readouts. He claimed to replace the recirculating pump ( I wasn't home), but no change.

Anyone have any experience with this... clogged pump, reduced water levels, not much water showering out of the tub vanes?

Maybe your water inlet hoses are clogged or the water pressure at the wall is not on full-blast.

recirculation jet

hi
the recirculation jet can get blocked by fluff from clothes, my opinion.

Thanks for the tip!

I've had the same problem with the recirculator in my LG 2432. There were some threads caught in the recirculation jet that I had to pull out with the help of a toothpick. Check the coin trap on the bottom of the machine as well. Thanks for the information on checking the numbers for water level; never knew that.

I have to reiterate that my LG is the best washer I've ever used. I've written them many times to tell them that the only changes I would make to the machine to make it absolutely perfect(for me, at least) would be:
1. Engineer the machine to run on 220v; it takes too long to heat the water on 115v.
2. Make spin speeds and water temps independently selectable(which would be easier with 220v power).
3. An option to dispense bleach in the first rinse rather than in the last 5 minutes of the main wash.

Baja those drawings are kinda GE-esque..tres cool! I noticed the other day that my Miele did dispense bleach into the main wash during the white cycle. I thought that it would dispense into the 1st rinse but it didnt..this washer only uses 2 rinses and if I select sensitive it will add another inse...but its not needed.
The water level in the Miele is lower during the wash cycle than during rinse. So maybe its the way it should be.

My L.G. washer also had a low water level but only on the normal and towels cycles.I set it one day on Permanent Press and it filled almost to the very bottom of the glass.Just enough to be able to open the door w/out leakage.i always use that cycle and set the temperature and spin speeds seperate.Works great!
