This is an interesting tool - listed as a Maytag tub nut wrench, but it's actually for a Whirlpool/Kenmore - early version. Not a bad price for this either with Buy It Now...

That was a good deal. I get by without one of those. I use an open end wrench, still one of the sides in a notch and hit the wrench with a hammer. Similar to the screwdriver+hammer trick, but more controllable.
