Congrats on your dryer, you're right about the work - check out what the 1960 I restored looked like when I removed the top and drum. It's a wonder it was burned to a crisp! Don't give up hope on finding the matching washer, many of us believe that having one half of the set brings good karma for finding it's mate. Post some pictures of the dryer when you have a chance - we'd love to see it. |

Hey Derrek - If you've taken your Filtrator down this far - suggest replacing the drum bearing, as per advice from a season expert ;-). I'm glad I took the advice during my recent 1955 Filtrator rebuild. The belt number is a 4L480 - a replacement sealed bearing is Grainger item number 1L046.
