Time for an overflow rinse to get out all the detergent other machine rinses leave behind. LOL! |

To gregm, and Coldspot66 Transportation. These machines are beautiful and it is a reminder of when the United States had quality, supreme engineering and we still manufactured our own appliances. Just the weight, design and the detail reminds me of the old days when we were proud to buy American Made.

love that Surgilator. Btw, I have a tiny pink automatic washer that would be ideal for those twins. 2 "D" cells required. |

I see. How much is the shipping, norgenocker? Does it have "deep pulsating action"? |

you can borrow it any time. Its agitator is rather lame--just a small arc--but you wouldn't want violent thrashing for such a delicate operation, would you? |

ok, so can you tell me the difference between a mere Surgilator and a Super Surgilator? |

Great washers: Congrats on getting them working. That Whirlpool is amazing, especially with that multi purpose filter and the tub light. Both are amongst the best parts of the machine. Could not get any better. Have a good one, James |

That always cracked me up on the 1-18. Jet Flow with a prostate problem. Makes you wonder if they named it before they actually saw it operate. |

Actually needs cleaning half way through the Wash. I have found that after two loads of wash, it's very effective, although there is no motion like a Filter Flow,it really filters out alot of "crap". But I'll tell you... like the guys say,"The washing a rinsing of clothes in any Fridgidaire is amazing". I did my Matress Pad and my Sheets in that machine last night and truely, my bedding never smelled so fresh. (That leaves alot open, but I'll leave it at the machines capability. LOL) There was hardly any odor from the detergent, and trulu everything smelled clean. I can only use Tide and no Fabric Softner otherwise my skin gets itchy. More photos in a short while.

The 1-18 control panels are my favorite of all time. I remember my grandparent's had a "fake" Westy 1-18, and I absolutely loved that washer. I hadn't the slightest idea that it wasn't real haha. |

Also, what are the cool down parts of the cycles, and the sanitize part? |

"Sanitize", just like DdDoEs said, bleach or ammonia added during a rinse cycle after washing a ill family member's laundry. Cool Down was a series of one or two partial drain and fill (with cold water) and brief agitation before the complete spin between wash & rinse. For perm press & knitted fabrics. Had an automatic forced gentle spin speed on those cycles and user instructed not to use the fabric softner dispenser on these cycles.
