I'm sure someone here will want this.

Would be perfect for that "I Love Lucy" kitchen!

Now that's cool.

The appliance store owner that I used to frequent began his business as a Launderall dealer in 1947. He sold a number of the machines and was fortunate to survive the premature demise of them all. He was also a KitchenAid, Kelvinator (the REAL Kelvinator - not WCI) and Amana dealer.

Interesting machine

The Launderall was an interesting machine. There was no dial. You turned it on by flipping the lever on the right, and it ran until the cycle completed.

The lever on the left was for hot or warm water.

The large lever in the center locked the outer door down.

The machine had to be bolted to the floor like the old Bendix machines.

But it did have reverse tumble.

Good find.

Well, there goes the launderall to its new good home. It was an interesting machine and I am glad to have had a hand in saving it from the crusher. I hope it is a fun and rewarding project.

Well it was really Brian who found it but it was only 5 minutes away from my place so I went and got it. Brian made a trip up to Canada to get it and voila! So they were in my backyard for a couple weeks. Covered of course.

I don't know if anybody here ever saw one before but in one of my favorite FRIGIDAIRE equipped coin laundries, they had a dry cleaning machine either an Apex or Ajax that was like the Launderall but had 6 separate chambers to load the laundry that all closed and held about 10 pounds or less.It was really neat and looked old.You could see through a small glass to look at the cleaning fluid and decide whether or not to change it.
