Is right here, next to the laundry tub. This would be your favorite corner Mike! Fredfred (Chance) That's a very good eye! That is a 53 Hotpoint with the long neck agitator. Rich, the wringers are in "Wringer Wrow" on the side by the dryers. They are all there. Notice the Filtrator in position? ;-) Jamie: I need to find a Neptune TL like yours. Help me out. |

Eddy - great shots! Totally appreciate the effort and labor that went into getting your machines hooked up and ready for the pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us! Your collection is one of the best around. I too have forgotten about some of those great finds like your 57 Kelvinator - but that digital Maytag; Ooo, to DIE for! :-) Ben |

A while back on the POD, I saw that oh-so-distinctive "Windshield Wiper" control on a Kelvinator which I hadn't seen before. And I thought, my God what a truly outstanding washer. Too bad no one has it. Now today.....Hurray!!!!.... Someone does. And it's YOU. Wonderful news! Had no idea you had such beautiful machines, and so many of them. What a labor of love, Yes?! Eddy, I can't identify the machine in the second pic between the WO 65 and the SQ; it's the one with the runway light. How cool is that. Dumbfounded ;'D |

I see you've cobbled--a la "Misery"--the feet off your Maytag. A really mint vintage one at that, with the red trim, the chrome letters instead of paint or a decal, and the slimmer gooseneck for the AAMP, almost automatic pump. What did you do with the feet? You'll see why I'm asking in a few days:->

Beautiful collection of some very rare vintage machines Eddy! Thank you for the pixs! Great room, and a real vintage floor too. You have got to get that Kelvinator up and running next... <: My laundry room is "under construction" right now, so I have no new pixs to share. Will have a set of 66 Frigidaire Custom Imperials to add to my collection soon, and will post new pixs then. |

I'm glad to share these with you all and perhaps a wash-in may bring you to Canada to see these machines. I do plan to have one, it's a question of when. Terry, you must come to Canada sometime. Mark, will post more pics of the 57 Kelvinator Do All Dial when it's up and running. It has a motor issue that I've been trying to solve. Ben, sharp eye on the Digital Maytag. Even though it's an orbital I put in an original turquoise power fin. Michael, the feet on the model E never came with the machine, the owner lost them but I took it in anyways. So now, I'd love to see more of your vintage laundry areas so come on everyone, post pics. Wringers included! |

I'll take you up on your offer Eddy. These were taken back in June. Things are a bit messy right now with the kitchen and bathroom work; and certain machines are not accounted for. Once the kitchen and bathroom are done, I'll start to work on the basement. At the current moment it is more of a holding cell than a display room! |

When did you get the Green Queen? I missed that. SOOOOOO nice. What a collection you have going! BTW, how did you locate a new motor for your Kelvinator? Was it the one from Grainger? I need a new motor for my Kelvy too and it would be up and running. Jon: All green avocado GE's found are being shipped express to Portland. |

I just bought a shed for the back yard, and one of the first things that I will put into it is floor tiles. I have a bunch of soft vinyl squares, various colors, that I will cement to the floor. There won't be any washers stored in the shed, just a bunch of Blackstone parts. Ben, looks like you cleaned up the cabinet a bit since I last saw that machine. Fred |

I had no Idea you had one, and now Fred is right here. He generously sent me a copy of the Sacred Blackstone Text wherein the wonders of the Flex-o-Trol are revealed. Do you know of these wonders? Let me know if you'd like a copy. We should do a joint post. This machine's moves are so incredible, so "Back to the Future," that I get all shaky and weirded-out thinking about them. The wide though almost transparent fill flume is visible between 9:30 and 11:30. The long string of spit between the rims is sudsy water hurled thru the very visible slits. |

Thanks for the kind comments guys - and it was nice to see Eugene's laundry room as well as Chris' set-up. Eddy - I haven't been very productive about it, but I bought a replacement motor from Grainger (5K554) about 6 months ago. It fits within the original crade frame (56J). Unfortunately it is a 3 wire set-up vs. the 5 (or 6?) wires on the original Delco motor in the Kelvinator. I have a buddy here on my Motors team who is going to try and wire it up. Otherwise I'll take my old motor to a machine shop to have them remove my old cracked clutch so the replacement clutch can be used. Fred and Mike - I love the Blackstone, and hopefully this winter it and the Maytag 101P will get some attention. Mike, the Blackstone is going to require a tear down and rebuild. Also Fred, when it agitates it doesn't agitate on the whole stroke, just moves one way. Doesn't seem like the spider is catching the agitator shaft properly. Also the rivited bushing on the inside of the agitator is almost non-existant and makes a scraping sound. I'll have to take a look at the repair manual soon (thanks for the copy!). Ben |

I created this website to advertise my building for sale. I included a picture of Ben's 350 in the website. I'm surprised to hear about the incomplete agitation. It worked fine as I put it together. Perhaps the shaft is not rising enough. I was thinking about junking Blackstone agitators as I move stuff to the new shed, but I'll hold them for now. Sorry guys, that was the last available Blackstone from the store. The only remaining complete 350 [and matching dryer] stays with me. |

Rodrigo - here is a picture of the 1959 Kenmore Eighty. It is just below the TOL 1959 Lady Kenmore. This machine had the first alphabet choice timer. You turn the outer ring to the letter of wash that you want, then you pull out the timer knob and turn it to the right until it stops. Push it in and you are set. A lovely machine, but isn't as cool as the dreamy Lady K. Fred - I'll be in touch with you in the next few weeks. Things are ramped up on the house work, but I suspect that sometime in November things will settle down a bit so I can start to put some time into the Blackstone. Ben |

Ah, The Kelvinator. Ken, the little metal knob sticking up out of the top is the out of balance re-set lever. Since this is a time line machine, there is no way to mechanically 'pop' the timer out if it were to go into an out-of-balance situation. So instead, the lever would pop up, the house wife would re-distribute, and she would push back down on the lever, and away it goes! Bob, the perm press button is weird. I haven't played with it too much, but it seems to add a some cold over flow rinses at the end of the wash and rinse cycle. Once the machine is up and running I can do some more investigation. Glad everyone enjoys this machine. Certainly is a fun one! Ben |
