I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Since the tub is indexing ccw, the cw stroke of the agitator is really short and the ccw stroke is really long. So it is actually doing something to keep the spiral part of the agitator in the same position. If you were to stop the tub from indexing, you would probably see the spiral turn cw. There are other vids on youtube of similar frigidaire washers and I have seem them do the same thing. To bad she wasted her money trying to fix something that ain't broke.

Back to the thread, here we go and I hope I can help.

There's nothing wrong with your washer at all. The agitator was designed to have this mechanical action.

It looks it's turning to the wrong side, or not turning but it's to compensate the basket action.

Here in Brazil, the same agitator was enhanced when we decided to make it rigid and allow this "unbalanced" wash action using a triac. The wash action seems to be slow as you can see, but it's much more gentle to the fabrics and the results are excellent. Also, using the triac, the washer is much more silent and much more power efficient.

Obs. On the video, there's no rollover because the washer had a full load using low water level.
