I am trying to replace the motor carriage on a center dial maytag washer model A208. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how the new style motor carriage mounts to the base of the washer because the original holes do not line up with the motor carriage. Thanks Tom

Hey Tom, why would you need to replace the whole carriage? the springs and nylon glides area still available along with the lube for the nylon glides. It comes as a kit with everything you need to rebuild the motor carriage......Look on Repair Clinic.com....... Mark
I am replacing the motor carriage because the old one was badly rusted and did not move. I was going to replace the glides but the bolts broke off of the lower motor carriage so i got the new carriage. As luck would have it the holes on the new carriage don't match the base of the washer and now i am stuck.
