Now if this doesn't take anyone growing up in Europe during the 1970's or so back, don't know what will. Really am tempted, but the thing is so far away. L. CLICK HERE TO GO TO launderess's LINK on eBay |

It says "Übersee" on the shield which means overseas. Apparently this was a model especially made for the international market. Odd though that the 711 is a lower end model than Eddy's 709, at least that model has an extra option button. Spin speed is the same, 500 rpm. This model has three motors, one for washing, one for spinning and one integrated in the pump. Separate motors for washing and spinning mean no soft start! IMHO $500.- is way too high a price for this machine. Louis |

Thank you for the kind offer, but would only half heart consider this machine. First can see mould along the boot, which surely indicates the unit has been shut up and has become fouled. This could mean simply replacing the boot, or a more detailed action plan would be required. With no local or even United States dedicated service (unlike my vintage Miele W1070), parts would have to be ordered from Europe (if they are available), and shipped. Given current exchange rates this could be pricey. Then would still have to find someone to work on the unit. Seller seems to be in the "salvage" business, so there is really no telling where or how he came into the unit. He does not say if the unit even works, and given it requires a 220v outlet, may not even be able to test. Louis: Agree, $500 is way to much to ask for such a washer. Would be different if the condition were better, and some sort of promise could be made in terms of operating condition. Even then, the unit is over thirty-years old. Without any idea of how it has been used in the past, it could be on it's last legs, or still capable of chugging along for another 30. L. |
