I have a Maytag A106 that needs a home. I cleaned it up, and sprayed some anti-rust primer on the front panel. It seems to work okay, most of the aqua on the front panel is worn off. Could prolly use new belts and possibly a lid switch.

The baseplate and cabinet are pretty rusty.

Attached is a link to the machine before I cleaned it and sprayed the front with rust stabilizer.

Machine is on Staten Island, and is free. Would love to see it have a good home, as it was my grandmothers. I would keep it if I had the space.

buttons are worn smooth. gunk has been cleaned up and removed, so its not as gross as it looks here.

WOW!!! Too bad it isn't an extra large deep tub, otherwise, I would take it. I'm looking for and need a BIG tub Maytag.

So, Scrubflex, those are some I saw on craigslist. Of course, I can't tell if they are large capacity.

But my small capacity machine is still available, for free. :-)

Thanks, Mistereric. Do you have any idea where an appliance dumpage or junkyard may be in NY?

There are tons of used appliance stores in upper Manhattan and Da' Bronx. Not sure if I have seen anything worth having in them though.

I have seen used appliance stores in the greater Jamaica Queens area (specifically Richmond Hill) as well.

Will try to post an address or two as I stumble upon such places in my travels for work.
