I didn't resize them. They're not that large taken individually. 1956 Whirlpool Washing (6.15 MB) 1964 GE Washing (3.68 MB) 1964 GE Spin-Drain (4.74 MB) 1964 GE Spin (2.89 MB) |

The aesthetics are just beautiful on these particular WP machines. Something about center timer dial machines that are just very pleasing. It's too bad WP didn't keep this style around longer. |

I want to find a WP a year or two newer than Rick's, which is what my mom had, with the pop up buzzing lid! If anyone ever comes across one in Socal, please let me know!!!! |

Rocky, looks like y'all definitely had a good time. and hey, I see nuttin' wrong with the flash freezing the spin action for taht fragment of time. I love looking at the whirling laundry frozen in space and especially when it's spray rinsing. Rick, summer is definitely agreeing with you :-) but I"m curious, why weren't there any pictures capturing rocky enjoying the machines. That's what is so cool about wash-ins, seeing expressions and hearing expression from participants.

Thanks for the nice comments everybody. And thank you Nelson, for coming to my house and taking the pictures. And Dadoes for posting the video. I am sorry to say,I never thought of taking Nelsons(Rocky2) picture. I had just met him,and he took some pictures, and it just never entered my mind to ask for his camera. Shame on me! :( BTW I "tricked out" the Seeburg jukebox this past Winter. it used to look like this picture before I made some changes to the lighting. (boring) Now go back and look at the "tricked out" version in first post of this thread. |
